Summer Meals

Plano ISD has arranged to provide summer grab-and-go lunches for our students. Pick up is Monday through Friday from 10:30am-noon beginning May 26, 2020. The two closest locations to our neighborhood are:

Armstrong Middle School (3805 Timberline Drive, Plano, TX 75074), and

Bowman Middle School (2501 Jupiter Road, Plano, TX 75074)

Students will receive a lunch plus breakfast for the following day. If the student is not present at pick up, please provide appropriate documentation in the form of a school issued ID, report card, birth certificate or the verification letters families received for meal pick up during school closure.

Guidance and Counseling Services

If you need help from a familiar person, please reach out to our School Counselor, Mrs. Allen. michele.allen@pisd.edu.

Plano ISD has social workers available to help our families over the summer. The district has also partnered with the SMU Center for Family Counseling to provide telehealth counseling services until August 4th. More information is available through the district here.

Summer Learning Resources

Your student should be able to still log on to their webdesk link used during distance learning this spring. Dreambox, Pathblazers, BrainPop and MyOn are all resources available to help your kid reduce summer slide.

The internet is full of wonderful learning resources from videos of books being read to printouts for children in the form of coloring pages, dot to dots, mazes or other activities. This would be a huge job to compile and curate. We asked parents to post their favorite Boredom Busters for the summer on a recent Facebook post.

The City of Plano Libraries have a variety of offerings online to help our kids through eBooks and streaming services. Please visit their website for more information.
